Sod & Grass Seed

Our sod and grass seed is locally supplied by Young Sod Farms in Fenwick.

Sod

Our sod is 5 feet long and 2 feet wide and available for pick up. Please call ahead if possible, as we prefer to sell out of sod daily in order to keep our stock fresh. Sod reservations are available.

Seed

We carry three types of grass seed to ensure the best mix for each location. Please note, seeding rate varies for each type.

Victoria Park Mixture consists of 60% Kentucky Bluegrass, 30% Creeping Red Fescue and 10% VNS Perennial Ryegrass. A great all-purpose option for yards that are both sunny and somewhat shady. Sold in 500 gram or 2 kg bags. 1 kg will seed a new lawn area up to 500 square feet or overseed up to 1000 square feet.

Shade Seed consists of 50% Creeping Red Fescue, 30% VNS Perennial Ryegrass, 10% Kentucky Bluegrass and 10% Chewings Fescue. These lawn grasses grow better than most in more heavily shaded locations. Available in 1 kg bags, which will seed a new lawn area up to 650 square feet or overseed up to 1300 square feet.

Premium Mixture consists of 20% each Award, P-105, Cabernet, Champagne and NuGlade Kentucky Bluegrasses. Available in 1 kg bags, which will seed a new lawn area up to 710 square feet or overseed up to 1420 square feet.
